What percent of those do you believe truly comes from the heart and a bias for both personal and corporate action, versus a necessary public relations response with little personal ownership? My view: about 30%. That is still a great number, because it’s far higher than zero.
Why shouldn’t same standards apply if you threaten to resign - irrespective of your race or gender or the type of research you do. Pretty sure I’d get fired if I used “threaten to resign” as my mode to get something

How are your “support functions” (HR, marketing, finance, etc) treated? We are second class citizens, with less: training, growth opportunities, inclusion in firm leadership calls/gatherings, etc.

On a call with the CEO talking about diversity and they compare a person with tattoos experiencing prejudice in the office to Black people colleague experiences... Meanwhile last I checked, a tattoo was a choice and removable. Also depending on placement, you can’t see it.

Thought: When you see diversity of skin color as the most critical factor you miss out of diversity of experience and ideas. Quite often these overlap, but there are a lot of people out there like JD Vance who come from poor white roots, but because of their skin color they’re assumed to have some magical privilege bestowed upon them by society. Likewise, wealthy people of color are lumped in with their less affluent counterparts. We’re so quick to look at skin color and see the sum (cont’d)

The best private school (best on ranking) in my area is an all girls school (K-12). What’s the pros/cons of sending my daughter to an all girls school? My wife and I both grew up outside of the US and have not experienced single gender schools. Looking for any thoughts /personal experiences. Thanks!

Why do I feel so guilty about wanting to take another offer and leaving my team? I like my current teammates just HATE the client and project. I’ve also asked for a raise multiple times and have been told no. I’m underpaid but am up for promotion this year (June). I don’t think Deloitte can/willmatch.
