How to get project in Xorient?
Hi fishes, in urgent need of your suggestions.
One of my friend is having offer from Oracle Pune for software developer role in Oracle store team. but he does not have clear idea of the role whether it will be operations, support or development work.
Does anyone know what kind of work is there in store team. Also, is it possible to change the project once we get inside?
Urgent suggestions required...
Thanks!

Nope.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t talk to him about deadlines and project management to go from where you are to the finish line. Maybe the partner is thinking of something you are not aware of that is driving this, maybe not. Maybe the partner won’t care. But having a conversation about how you need to now do xyz and you think you could reasonably get it back to him by q date and seeing how he responds should be ok (unless he is really unreasonable)

A big problem with the law firm structure is that partners are technically all peers and they generally will not be happy if you bring your complaints about other partners to them, even if totally legitimate. It sucks but it’s the reality. The best you can do is try to work away from a bad time management partner.
You need a weekly action list. It should have unambiguous tasks and status such as
1. “partner to do blah [PENDING]”
2. “Following action by patroon blah, Associate to do blah [PENDING]”
Patroon Blah sounds like an indie band you’ve probably never heard of but their sound is like, amazing
Ugh, thanks everyone. I just hate the double standard. It’s one thing when a client does this, but you’d think a partner-level attorney would have a better handle on things.
Break it up into smaller chunks and let him know weekly where everything is at.
