Is it expected to be capable of being on 2 deals with no support as a manager? Both running on schedule / no delays.

Probably depends on the scope of both deals, timelines, etc but generally yes

If you don't have staff resources, yeah, why not? Especially if they're small deals. If they're large and time consuming maybe raise your hand and ask for help.

Depends on the complexity of each project, but at some point, as a M3, I'm managing 5 deals at once. All on the go at different phases. 2-3 running with a Senior whereas other 1-2 running on my own.

I can't call out client names here, but I'm part of top 5 PE accounts and some portco's do have enough deal flow to be working on 4-5 deals at once. Obviously, these aren't complex carve outs, more like MM style deals. If you haven't experienced 2+ deals as M3 you surely will when you get to SM. Hang tight.

Um yea.. that’s par

Lol

Unfortunately yes

Yes

Technically no but partners don’t care as long as deals are done

Highest I heard is 120 a couple years ago. He was a very good consultant though. High quality work, could interface well with business people and he could handle anything within the ecosystem very well.

Got an 8-month contract offer for an APM role @ $45/hr.

Its heading in the direction of the type of work I want to do than where I'm currently at and taking it would put me at a total of 17 months of product experience. They also claim possible extensions and full time conversion.

Talks of a recession are stirring and I've only been at my role for 6 months out of undergrad.

Any thoughts?

After 7 years of actively managing my portfolio I have concluded that simple boring index funds are way to go. I did well in tech stocks but have some I'll times entries and exits which kinda took down profits. Do you still believe actively trading would produce better results. I have learned quite a lot in process but now I don't think I would be able to give same time when life gets busy with higher roles, kids etc. Anyone have been successful in managing their portfolios and beating indexes.

When do I begin adjusting? It’s been 4 months. I joined as an associate and I feel like sometimes my work is sloppy or I’m overwhelmed. I’ve gotten feedback that I’m making progress but that sounds fake. I’ve also gotten feedback that my work is sometimes sloppy. The last report I helped write had a ton of write ups on it. Feels like I’m about to get fired.

What do you think makes more sense:
a) Stay in audit and get M1 promo this year, and then later try to transfer to FDD at manager level.
b) Move to FDD right now as S3, settle in at more relaxed pace but only hit M1 promo in 2 years.
