After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

I’ve seen it happen mainly bc at D5 we don’t have ASDs. Our Senior Strats are essentially the equivalent and then it’s harder to get to director. We have less titles and you sit in them longer.
Not common. Must just be a super stellar strategist or helped win a big account.
However I’ve seen someone move from Sr to Assoc Director to Director VERY quickly - usually as a result of people leaving - but still went through each step as a formality

I've never seen that leap. If there is an associate director level, then you go through it to get to director. Associate director is a stepping stone title; you should have it for 12-18 months as you audition for the director role.
I’ve only seen the jump happen in teams of 1, but never in an established team with multiple folks and a career ladder.
I’ve seen it at my agency where ASD goes to VP level and skips Director while others have to go to Director first and then VP but there doesn’t seem to be much reason to it it happens to some and not to others.
Sometimes it makes sense from a business perspective, like if a particular client would be more likely to listen to them if they had a high-ranking title. That’s not fair to anyone though, including the person getting the promotion.
It’s fair if you’re good and deserve the jump. There’s no reason someone can’t skip any role if you’re performing at the new level. Happens all the time when people jump companies. It shouldn’t be an issue inside one company except for bs around being fair. Some people grow/mature/excel faster. Congratulate them. Well done. But some orgs just don’t allow it or have too many internal hurdles. It’s also important to note that just because an individual things they deserve it doesn’t mean they do. Get feedback from peers, clients and superiors before getting over zealous.
