Anyone who frowns upon that is not someone I’d want to work with
I don’t think so. This sounds cold, but the time is meant for more than just grieving. There are a lot of logistics that need to be taken care of and as a family member so many ways you can and should be supportive
Sorry for your loss. Firms have these types of policies in place for a reason, and you shouldn't feel bad for taking advantage of it.

For us it’s only 3 days, but I’ve taken it for an uncle I was close to and no one was anything b it supportive. I would think a spouse’s parent would be even more understandable- even if you weren’t as close to the parent- it’s a huge time needed to support your spouse and ensure she/he has the time to grieve.
Take it. Anyone who would frown upon it needs an attitude adjustment.
Depends on firm policy. I don't think Accenture covers that. But I'm sure a project should be reasonable enough to allow the short notice PTO.

They do. I’m at Accenture and it covers (as hopefully all firms should).
