Is it generally preferred to max the (mega) backdoor Roth IRA or 401k account first?

Assuming you get the match annually and have the ability to max I'd max the traditional 401k first (less tax withholding earlier in the year, more time in market for funds) then once maxed do the post tax. If you are matched with each paycheck I think you often need to spread out your pretax contributions across the entire year.

smart

Accenture and many companies have a true up so it’s x% of total contributed paycheck at year end.

Do you get a match for after tax or just for traditional or Roth?

You roll it into a Roth. After tax is basically a way to put more in Roth

If you ask really nicely

Hey fishes, would be joining PwC AC DDVIT team in some time. I have some questions:

1. Is the PwC AC DDVIT team same as Strategy& or these two operate differently?
2. How is the overall worklife balance for PwC DDVIT team?
3. What are some some good benefits in PwC AC (monetary/non-monetary)
4. How much time does an associate 2 take to get promoted to senior associate?
5. Are there on-site traveling opportunities? And is it only to US or European countries as well?

Thanks!

Making an offer. The sellers said they had 30+ people walk through the open house today, and are asking for best and final. They’ll make a decision on Monday. The list price is 775k. We were originally thinking of offering 700 to start since comps are around 735k. However, this is nicer than the comps renovation-wise. What would you all suggest we offer? We’d rather lose the house than overpay, so this concerns us.

An interview for another firm kind of fell into my lap, and I'm debating whether to take it just for the sake of seeing what market really is. Is there something shady about interviewing somewhere you're not totally committed to accepting an offer from?
