If you get laid off from being on the beach a period of time, do you get a severance package or just get fired?

Does anyone watch Severance? I just heard there's going to be a second season and I'm so ready. It's one of the only things actually worth watching on Apple TV+.

Has anyone taken part of the education reimbursement program? I’ve been here for 4 years and I’m thinking of obtaining my Master’s in Organizational Leadership, but I feel like with this merger, if I started the program and then there are layoffs or too many new hires, or work just becomes overwhelming, I wouldn’t be able to complete my program. I have an excellent resume as a corporate attorney, have great references and experience, am a likeable person but am in the process of being laid off due to COVID. What are my prospects of finding a job once the firm cuts me loose? Any tips for how to best position myself? I am very flexible about what type of job I will take and salary. I’m being let go. It came as a surprise because my time with the company I’ve gotten positive feedback. A couple of weeks ago my boss told me that I was being put on a 30 day performance review plan. The last 2 weeks I’ve gotten positive feedback about improvement but on Thursday my boss decided to cut the review plan short and give me an end date. Since I’ve been there <1 year I’m getting 2 weeks severance. Is there room for severance negotiation? A friend in HR (not ad) told me I should ask.

I got offer from IBM in my home location itself, with 18.5LPA fixed for 9 yea in automation testing. Here my manger is confusing me like layoff will after u join in IBM.. but I am in cts as 11.2 only .. but now I got SA promotion with 10 % hike .. and also no retnation for me also not there whether I can choose IBM or stay here .. kindly help guys .
