I support key contracts totaling 6M+, have earned new customer contracts, replaced competitors, been personally requested by key customers & do on-site support trips solo since Sept. I enjoy my job & team but believe I may be underpaid. I currently make 70k + 5k DNE bonus, 5% 401k match & no commission. Industry avg @ 1yr exp ~90k base. Thanks!

Is there a way to bypass the promotion policy of not being able to apply for jobs in 2 or more levels above your current level? Especially, if one joined the company at lowest level with over 8 years experience? Reason was, I took a career break for 6 years and to maximise my chance of getting back into the industry, I applied for a role I was almost guaranteed to get. After 1.5 years at the company I realised I am well underpaid. A career coach told me that with my qualification I could easily earn 40k more per year than what I do.
