Do you think this app is the correct avenue for fiqh questions? LOL
I’d recommend that you ask people who have knowledge of Islam.
Appreciate your response but I’d like to seek the opinion/thoughts of this community too. Thank you!
Op - most responses on here are essentially 'you do you' aka do as your whims and desires please which is mind boggling but apparently the norm these days. Find a person of knowledge you trust scholar/Imam, in person or virtually, and seek a response from them.
Hopefully a final comment lol... so need to differentiate between matters of jurisprudence and matters of aqeedah. Matters of jurisprudence are basically legal matters... how will you not deciding on a matter of jurisprudence impact your relationship with your lord? It really shouldn't. In matters of aqeedah, you're right, absolutely noone can come between you and your lord. But in jurisprudence, honestly it's a blessing that they're there for the 99%, because personally I don't have the time to go deep into every minor detail such as plucking eyebrows. And this is wayyyyy more than just, is it in the Quran / sunnah literally or not.
Those that want to research matters can do so, provided they do so in a proper way, the standards are high whether we like it or not, but everyone CAN do so. 99% people don't have the time or effort to do so, hence the importance of scholars who do this for a livelihood vs you and me that do it via a Google search lol.
I'd recommend looking into videos about 'whether I should choose a madhab or not' to get better insight, should explain my line of thought better than me. But I think we see eye to eye on the bulk of things, it's just a question of how important are scholars in all of this, it's fascinating stuff tbh... Best of luck in your search iA!
I understand it to not be, in the sense your “maintaining” your eyebrows. Family of course has a different opinion.
The armchair scholars will deem it to be haram but how is it any different to hair on your head or other body hair. Do it sis if it pleases you and your partner (if you have one)
I had the exact same questions which is part of the reason why I asked it here. Thank you for thoughtful response

I think god has bigger fish to fry no pun intended
It’s not haram. Why would it be? You are not completely removing your eyebrows like the Mona Lisa painting. And it’s not a permanent change. After plucking your eyebrows, they’ll regrow. The hadiths are misinterpreted in my opinion.
My understanding is that it is yeah. Unless you suffer from excessive hair on eyebrows in which case I believe that can be gotten rid of slightly.
My sister used to bleach parts of the eyebrows making it look like it was shaped... pretty smart lol

I dunno but I’m a dude and I have my barber shape up my eyebrows too so 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
It’s not haram to clean up your brows but doing things like stickers and things that change the look is
This answer is what my sheikh and mom told me btw. Not talking out of my head

Not sure what the rules are for men, but I will take the hit for it personally if it’s haraam. Can’t be going around rocking a massive unibrow 😵💫

Got it. I’m M.
Do what you are comfortable with and what you specifically want to do/like.

Think microblading is pushing it (bc it’s basically a temporary 8 month tattoo) but again, it depends on you and your relationship with God.
No one else gets to judge you for it as long as you’re comfortable with it.
Here’s mine for example: just have my barber shape them up with a straight razor weekly when I get my haircut.

Hmm, good suggestion. Although I’m not a fan of wax 😅😅
Bc it’s only a week between my haircuts, my eyebrows don’t get messy so it works out.

Also unless someone can point it out in the Quran - the only credible text/scripture (Hadith doesn’t count) then I think it’s fair game. God would have put it in the Quran if he felt it was important
So here's my take... There are certain Hadith that when taken literally can be open to misuse. The problem is that we have only had very conservative translators and interpreters up to now, who have applied their own perspective and to be completely blunt, do not live in this day & age.
Therefore, my interpretation on this Hadith is that it is the right of both husband & wife to initiate intimacy with their other half. There is reward in obliging and jointly enjoying what is halal for them and it also helps to prevent promiscuity (or at least one of the reasons commonly cited for it). It is absolutely the right of the responding partner to decline intimacy for a variety of reasons and the initiating partner must be patient to understand why and help overcome the reluctance through support and compassion. The refusing partner also has a duty to provide the other partner some insight about their reluctance, particularly if it is prolonged.
Others may disagree with my interpretation but I'd ask you to check your humanitarian values & gender bias.

Yeah Allah definitely doesn't want you to take care of your eyebrows...lol
Just remember OP...there is a special place in hell for those that plucked their eyebrows. Closing comment.
