Is it hard to go from a Big 4 to somewhere like Alix Partners or MBB?

I’ve been weighing out grad school vs Bootcamp. northwestern has a data science and visualization bootcamp. Roughly $10k - $12k. Could help fill in the gaps that I hopped to close with Grad schools. Adding new technical skills combined with my big 4 consulting experience (currently 3 years. 6 total YOE) I think I could make a pivot into higher paying roles.

Any thoughts?

Why is pwc ac not paying at par with deloitte usi?

At an average deloitte usi pays more than pwc ac. Better pay, hikes, bonus, allowances etc. Both are big 4 offshore centers yet such stark difference. Looking forward to switch there.

Does big 4 firms like Ernst and Young have up or out policy? Generally how much time does one have before being evaluated for promotion?@

Recently signed an offer with a consulting company, then received an unexpected better offer from another consulting firm (MBB). How should I break the contract between me and the initial company? What should I say since I already signed with them, and I am supposed to start in 2 weeks time? happy to get some ideas!

Do you guys at BCG think it would be a smart decision to make a lateral move to PL from Big 4? Have great network and support at current company. The MBB brand, 20k increase in TC, and potential better exit opportunities would be reasons to move. Worried about the challenges of starting from scratch at BCG, proving myself as IC in first few projects, and probably a worse WLB. Would love any insights TIA!

Best areas to live east of LA? My fiancé and I are debating moving there, I would be working at. Big 4 DTLA and she would be working in Rialto. What area would provide a reasonable commute for both?
