I mean, I'd wear clothes and use the bag to hold things, but you do you, OP.
No. You work hard for the money.
I have given a lot of thought to this and have decided if I ever get a comment about it I will simply tell them my father invented toaster strudel
A2 hello it’s me 🤗
I own/wear a lot of designer. And dont care what clients and or coworkers say about it. I have had a few comments here or there “we are paying u too much” lol. It’s your money spend it how you wish, no one also has insight into familial financial situations, other modes of income, etc so it’s stupid to judge someone based on what you think they can afford.
Also I work in the federal space so it’s even more of a stigma around that stuff
This reminds me of the admin assistant of my boss— she LOVES designers stuff and spends a big chunk of her salary on those. She is happy with what she is doing and doesn’t care what others think. I totally admire ppl like her. I wouldn’t do it but nothing wrong.
If someone has a problem, carry a megaphone in your designed bag and yell “Brokeboi” at them.

Designer bag varies from Coach to LV to Birkin, depends on the price range 🧐
Why is everyone going off on each other when no one actually knows what they’re talking about? Lol this is hilarious!
By definition, a luxury good is technically a sliding scale. The more income you have, the more you can afford (quality or quantity). A luxury good is something you don’t *need* to survive. No one needs a Coach bag or a Dior bag. Many people can afford a Coach but not a Dior. This is how Coach can get away with marketing themselves as luxury - because to the masses, they are!
By real terms, and to the “1%”ish, a luxury good also implies prestige, scarcity and white glove service. Coach is no longer in that arena, but Hermès is. Patek Phillipe is. Many people on this app, due to our privilege and well-above-average income levels, think of those types of brands when they hear the word luxury. And those brands can also get away with marketing themselves as luxury, because they are to their target market(s).
Both definitions are valid and applicable. Your egos and classism show which definition you believe in. I said ew to Coach because I think their stuff is tacky, unoriginal and not stylish. I think the same exact thing about Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and others. But that’s all because of my own personal style and taste - I like things that are unique and not brand-flashy / logo-heavy, regardless of their cost or level of scarcity.

Are you wearing it on your head?

What’s your level and what kind of bag? A first year associate bringing in a Birkin is different than a manager bringing in an LV.
I carry my designer bag to work, happy hour, airports, doctor office. My $ my choice

Nope. I’m in sales and happy hours had plenty of designer items. Peacocking all over the place
Always. Shows you’re trying too hard and a tad out of touch. The real #richbois be talking about their real estate investments, crypto/nft portfolio and 6 digit pre-IPO bets.

I'll wear what I have even if it's designers. I can't help that clients are peasants
It depends.
With your team? Who cares…. If you are more junior then everyone else will probably have more money than you and not care
With client? That depends. If your client is a bunch of bankers in NY then you’re fine.
If it’s a manufacturing client in the Midwest then it may not go over as well.
Umm, no. Why don’t it be? 🤷🏻♂️
Depends if it looks tacky or not
