Is it just me or do Agency Holding Companies (WPP, Omnicom, Publicis, IPG, and Dentu) play Russian doll games with sub agencies? From a branding POV it’s a mess.

It’s really annoying and I hate it too but they basically just do it to acquire more business. They make a new sub agency to fulfill a client need. FCB has like 15 health agencies just in NYC. But think of FritoLay and how much they own. Or SCJohnson. It’s just how business is 🤷🏻‍♀️

My paycheck comes from the holding company. I applied to work at a sub agency. I ended up working at a sub agency 4x removed. I feel like it would be so much easier if each holding company only had 4 sub agencies (so they can have multiple clients in the same agency.)

-Big 4 $90K plus bonus
-A top 10 firm $95k plus bonus

The HR from the top 10 firm said they have more WLB than big 4. But I think Big 4 has more opportunities than smaller firms. Which one should I choose? Thank you guys.
