It’s just you
Level of classes is not the same as otf or solidcore

Huh, I didn't know equinox had retained McKinsey to help drum up business
I mean yeah if you were to take 8 SoulCycle classes a month that’s $260-290. I don’t know what the going rate is for Equinox is these days but it can come out cheaper than boutique classes.

Gym pass and ClassPass are way cheaper
It is objectively the best deal for workout classes in the city. I’m paying about $240 a month for all access and go to about 20 classes per month ($12/class). Have not found anything that comes close - ClassPass is not great value because the good classes cost a lot of credits and McK doesn’t have gympass

McKinsey retainer by equinox confirmed
Honestly agree, no doubt I'm paying out the nose but that incentivizes me to workout more often too. (I'm a pos that wont workout otherwise)
Are you looking for confirmation.?

Well I’m looking for pressure testing - it sounds wrong, but if it is I’d love someone to lmk why / what I’m missing
I think for some it’s hard to compare the actual quality of the classes. I considered equinox at some point but when I tried a Pilates class I wasn’t impressed, and when I looked at the spin studio they didn’t have clip ins, only cages. I just felt less motivated in a class I wasn’t feeling the pressure of paying for as well. For this reason, ClassPass is best for me. I believe gympass is similar to ClassPass but unlimited so if your employer offers gympass that’s another unlimited option for you.
Equinox has convertible cages/clip on their Stages bikes. Taking off the cages takes half a second & clips are fit look delta & spd cycling shoes.

How are Equinox classes compared to Barry’s/F45? This may change how/where I work out

Sorry, yeah. I should have said no strength classes with treadmills. I’ve done and enjoy precision running classes (at least more than I enjoy running usually lol)
It’s a growth company, subsidized by an outsized inflation and cheap VC money. The prices will go up one day, ride the wave until that happens. Also, doesn’t a chase or AMEX card cover a big portion of it?

Amex credit is $25/month

Well, we travel for work 4 days a week. (Or at least we did)? Tough to justify it
