I was in a similar situation - I got a competing offer and suddenly the process picked up speed!
I’m in the final stages at Amazon too, but I haven’t brought this up with the recruiter cause the offer is not on the table yet but would you recommend I inform him?
I informed mine once I had a verbal offer. And he was able to expedite; he did need the written offer to increase the original offer
What role did u apply to
Ok TAM and TPM they hire in dime a dozen . They make the process stretched for reason so they can be choosey
It’s well known to be incredibly slow. The fact that you team matched within a month, and over the holidays at that, is actually incredibly fast. He can’t control the queue for HC and probably isn’t giving you tons of info because there’s no info to give.
OP if you’re following up and he doesn’t answer, he doesn’t have any news to give you. If you followed up 3 times for an HM interview, he was likely waiting for the HM to give him availability. HC gets cancelled or candidates don’t get through the queue ALL the time. It took me 3 weeks to get through because it was cancelled once, then my recruiter was OOO, then I was too far down the queue. It happens. Recruiters has dozens of people they’re working with, and scheduling interviews, HM meetings, working with HR… it’s a lot of emails and contact. They can’t get back to you immediately especially if they don’t have any updates.
Took me 6 months from first interview to signing
Seems like that’s standard then, I started the process in October……this is quite long for a company like Google….started the Amazon process in Jan and offer is coming next week
Also started the process in October, just wrapped up a final round and was told to wait another few weeks for a decision
