Is it just me or is this market in a major slump right now? Haven’t seen any notable new biz wins in town for months...if at all this year.

What’s the avg yearly raise out there on non promotion associate level?

Can someone explain what IT strategy consulting entails? What kind of project work, analysis, client needs, etc.

Need some advice regarding an offer I received. I’m approaching the one year mark in audit (October). I received a $65k accounting job offer in MCOL city with a tech company. The job will be a mix of accounting, budgeting/forecasting, and other ad hoc reporting. Does this sound like a good opportunity given my experience and background (Big 4, reputable university)?

Anyone else feel lost on how to exit this rat race? Burned out, feel totally stuck, and demands are only increasing 😔

Sometimes I volunteer to go on business trips I don't need to go on because that hour or two by myself in the hotel room is the only actual vacation I ever get.

Up for promotion to manager, have an offer to leave Big 4 for a 35% pay bump. Would you try to negotiate if you know others who have jumped to the same company for 15% more?

I’ve been seeing this a lot more recently and just had to make a thread about it. I refuse to believe that anyone on here has actually been asked to work a 100hr week. People come onto this thread with legitimate questions and concerns and I just see people trying to scare them out of public which inevitably makes it worse for everyone else who sticks around. Even an 80 hour week is debatable and that is the absolute top. Stop trying to be an attention getter. We work, but not 24/7.

Anybody pick up an online adjunct teaching position on the side? I’m thinking about it but wanted to see if anybody had any experience with it. Thanks

How many YOE do you think someone should have to be in a senior consultant position? I’ve seen so much variety across firms.

Does anyone know what the typical salary is for a PharmD in the pharmaceutical industry? Especially in functional areas like HEOR or market access?

Leave a tip at the hotel every week ?

I’ve been promised a promotion. The discussion started many months ago before Covid. When the pandemic hit, I stepped up & worked insanely hard, above my level—it’s been praised and recognized, but not rewarded. I was told the promotion will be delayed for reasons not to do with me. Am I going to get strung along? Should I start looking? Can I ask for more money when it does come? I believe I deserve a lot more money, but I’m afraid of sounding greedy or entitled, especially during a pandemic.

What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve done during a zoom meeting?

Trying to figure out how to manage health issues and work balance. I just recently found out I might have herpes (waiting for the test results to come back) and I have been very and feeling like my life is over especially because it came from being cheated on and struggling with prioritizing my bandwidth and not knowing how to communicate it with my team. Due to stigmas around something as common as herpes I cannot comfortably share that with my team.

Anyone willing to share experiences on what's it like working for Doordash strategy? How is the working environment, culture, etc?

When it comes to compensation, do you care more about immediate rewards (e.g., next year's bonus) or your future earning potential?

Has anyone completed I-9 recertification at D while waiting for h1b to get approved? Opt expires in July and H1B is pending so my cap gap takes me at least to end of September. How to get firm to extend authorization from July to Sept without hard copy of the receipt notice? (Lawyers only share final approval paperwork)
