Prefacing this with I am thankful for my job and this question is to gauge some long term career planning. Have been in consulting for 2.5 years. Work experience total of 9 years. Completing part- time MBA at UCLA next summer. Current Salary is 98k L9 client and market, is this way below market value. I know MBA doesn’t mean pay me more money but it will help the case next summer. How to have conversation of getting market value pay but don’t really want to leave Accenture?
Do banks (i.e. mortgage lenders / brokers) take your rsus into consideration when they look at your compensation package of a public company since its basically like cash or are they only look at your base + 2 years of bonuses. (I know they want 2 years of bonuses from having worked in the financial services industry where cash year and bonuses are a big part of total tc) Again, the rsus are rsus of a very liquid large tech company. Assuming this matters in the banks consideration.

How do my tax folks feel about a 100% remote position in a different timezone at a mid size firm? I received an informal offer, great salary bump and moderately interesting work. This will be for a manager position and the whole team will be in a different time zone. What should I worry about before accepting the offer? I come from a big firm, right below big 4. Workoholic & the thought of not having a social life via work feels really absurd. Wfh have helped me cut back on so much spending.
Anyone heard of or used Wanted? Recruiter on LI reached out and wants salary first, then your email and work info, then they share jobs that match skills and salary. Seems fishy...but curious if others have used it with success.
When exiting for industry what does the typical process for compensation negotiation look like? How long does the process typically last? Eg. Completion of interviews, negotiation period, settling on an offer, time to decide?

For those of you who went from transactional law (in-firm) to in-house, what would you say are the biggest changes? Would appreciate a comparison of salary, usual work hours and flexibility (ie.ability to go for doctors appointments without getting permission, etc).

The only thing that keeps the party going is the belief that it should. It’s part of why we celebrate the system in elementary and are taught it’s the greatest system. TLDR: seeking advice on handling casual workplace sexism During a call with my (all male) team today, we were talking about whether any of us had seen each other in person before we went fully remote (the project started right as things shut down and some people rolled on later). One of my colleagues, a manager, made a comment to the other two about how we both had gone in to the office for a few days before we went remote and how I was “very beautiful, even more so than my Teams profile” cont
Should the electoral college get rid of the "Winner Take All" system, and instead grant votes proportionately within each state? It feels more fair bc it gives people in safe states a reason to vote.
