What's travel within CMAAS like? Are most teams out traveling or still WFH? What was it like pre-COVID?
Picked up mountain biking since Covid, what's a good action camera alternative to Go-Pro? I've heard there are much better options at a better price point.
Johnson & Johnson applying to your r&d science intern. Am I able to get a referral? It’s been rough trying to get any lab experience since COVID hit
"This is going to go away without a vaccine" 🤦♀️ https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/05/08/trump-says-coronavirus-will-disappear-without-vaccine-fauci-has-said-opposite/?utm_campaign=wp_main&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook
Fish Friends, what are the foods and recipes that you've started adopting in the COVID world? I'll start with my super easy flatbread pizza, improvised due to laziness and a lack of yeast and baking materials available. 2 cups of flour and a half cup of water. Add a pinch of salt and a drizzle of olive oil and knead. Then you just roll it out as thin as possible and add whatever you want! Anything! Bacon? Onions? Peppers? Mozzarella? Chuck the whole thing in a 500F oven for like 18-22 min.
How the FMI predicted the impact of coronavirus on GDP, inflation and emplyment for each country? Any idea about data or the model?
How has engaging in business development/sales changed for you with covid? (For both new and existing clients)
In case you’ve put off getting a vaccine because you’re too busy to leave the house, any New York City resident 12 and older can now request a Covid vaccine at home. https://forms.cityofnewyork.us/f/home
I would love to get this bowl/forum up and moving again! How is everyone in the ServiceNow space doing these days with covid ?
Curious to know where folks are from and which state do you live in right now? (Ignore relocation because of Covid). I'll start, NJ > NJ
Our baby is due soon so we’ve made the decision that we will only have visits from vaccinated family members (not realizing it would be an issue) only to find out that my Dad will never be getting vaccinated, planned to lie about it AND asked other family members lie to us about his vaccination status too… when we found out and asked him about it, he started to FREAK out. Now I’m questioning if we’re being unreasonable… how have you guys been handling unvaccinated people meeting your newborns??
My utilization has been so low since COVID closed off the offices. Should I be worried? Should I reach out to my relationship/career coach? Change to another group/line of service??
I know this sounds ridiculous but I’m pretty self conscious about the fact that I’ve already been in 5 different agencies (no fault of my own. Covid, life etc) before even hitting 3 years in the industry. I know it ultimately isn’t what matters but I’m having trouble about how I think it looks to others when everyone has held only 1, if not 2 jobs in the same amount of time.
Are any consulting firms withdrawing or delaying the start dates for new hires because of Covid?
People who got promoted last year - how do you feel about it? I feel guilty given that most people didn’t even get a raise (in the UK). I find it hard to reconcile with the COVID gloom
Long post alert. Also, confusing post alert haha. So, I'm going to be divorced in the next few months and have 2 kids who'll be with me. Ever since this situation has been finalized, I'm becoming very conscious of our spend & have been tight about it. Covid has helped. But I noticed that even my grocery store bills are pretty high...like a single run to Meijer is $125+. Costco is like $200 or so. We've always had fresh fruits, nuts liberally used in our house. [Cont'd]
I've decided to head back to NYC, where I first trained, to join in the effort against Covid-19. Wish me luck!
D's PDM model is an absolute shit show. You work just as much, not much of a chance for remote, 20-30% lower pay structure and the benefits are absolutely shit. For paternity leave pdm gets 2 weeks while core get 16 weeks. Talk about taking advantage of it's employees. I can't wait to get out! Just FYI, those of you want to join make sure you are core and nothing else.
SC got an offer from industry for the same level same salary. The pro is that its 9-5 work, the cons are that the culture is very slow and career progression isn't as steep as at Accenture. Should take it or wait until I got M?
Does anyone have a nanny who brings their own child along either daily or fairly regularly? Do you pay a reduced rate if they have their child along? I’m not referring to situations like nanny is in a pinch and brings their own child along a few days here and there. I’ve seen nanny postings where they have a different rate w/ versus w/o bringing their children along but it’s varied wildly and I’m not sure how to calculate. Also, what has /has not worked well?
BURNED OUT MOM! And sad to say it. 😔 I have a 2.5 years old boy and a 6 months old baby girl. The boy is becoming so so stubborn. I feel like his daddy and I are doing something wrong. He used to be way more behaving and generally a sweet boy said the daycare and neighbors. I know he is a good fella. Could this be just a phase?! It's worth mentioning both his dad and I are going through stressful times at work.
Has anyone had any success requesting to work fully remote in the federal advisory service line? If so, what are the limitations (future raises, promotions)?
Should you always go back to a job offer with a counter in this market? Even if they have come back with a decent base. I have requested remote working with monthly office visits to nyc which would be covered by me. The role is creative director
Ugh why do people ping you when you’re OOO. It says it on the freakin chat when you pull someone up. Now I feel like it’s important and I should respond.
Considering an opportunity at a late stage startup that went through series d last year. It is a Vp level role (head of xyz). Expected ipo in 2-3 years. What kind of equity % of company’s last valuation can I expect? Never have worked for a startup.. most of my exp is with b4 and large tech.
What type of job boards ninche or not do you find to be the most useful for the talent you hire and what type of roles are they best for?
If you got a bad first performance review (actually bad, so figure a 1 or 2 out of 5, but no PIP and given the chance to improve, and also told it’s fine because first review), and you’re not getting fired over it, would you put a lot of effort into trying to move firms once you’re able to say you have a year of experience, or would you just try to improve your reputation at the firm you’re already at, since leaving after 1 year isn’t generally ideal?
Does anyone feel like those announcements that all summer interns will extended a full time offer to be a bit machiavellian? Especially in light of the “layoffs” to come
Deloitte is giving mid-year hikes. Is this also happening at other consulting firms, big 4? EY PWC KPMG Accenture
Crazy to think the sweatshop mentality is what agencies prided themselves about — even wearing it as a badge of honor.
How much do (1) CPA and (2) MaCC (from a reputable school) actually matter in exit opportunity applications/interviews? Do they differentiate or more just get you door? I am an A1 trying to think f how to differentiate myself for good opportunities post-b4
Marriott didn’t let my deliveroo driver into the hotel as “it’s against policy to have outside food delivered”....anyone else had same problem?
