Is it me or their Deloitte friends not taking this entire Covid thing seriously in their private lives? I keep on getting invited to these private Deloitte employee friend groups organized parties where the people seem to be rather careless about the entire getting tested and quarantining business.

Lol just Cos you see one group of deloitte friends do that you can’t group us all the same. SMH

likefunny

I am not grouping as a conclusion... hence I am asking if this is what I hope is a anomaly... but when all 3 of my Deloitte friends are this way (and they don’t know each other well)... it perked my ears

I think this is a giant generalization. I never get together with people nor do my closest group of colleagues. I think there are people in every firm not taking things as seriously as they should - it’s not localized to a single company.

Lol your sample size is three Deloitte friends? Maybe this has more to do with your friend group....

Really? My team of 6 seem to all take it seriously and respectfully

Deloitte is more conservative and the conservative talking point is still that the virus concerns are overblown. I’ve seen similar actions among my colleagues who say they’re being safe but then get together for a happy hour

That is this election... historically No...

Chuck the whole thing in a 500F oven for like 18-22 min.

Our baby is due soon so we’ve made the decision that we will only have visits from vaccinated family members (not realizing it would be an issue) only to find out that my Dad will never be getting vaccinated, planned to lie about it AND asked other family members lie to us about his vaccination status too… when we found out and asked him about it, he started to FREAK out. Now I’m questioning if we’re being unreasonable… how have you guys been handling unvaccinated people meeting your newborns??

I know this sounds ridiculous but I’m pretty self conscious about the fact that I’ve already been in 5 different agencies (no fault of my own. Covid, life etc) before even hitting 3 years in the industry. I know it ultimately isn’t what matters but I’m having trouble about how I think it looks to others when everyone has held only 1, if not 2 jobs in the same amount of time.

D's PDM model is an absolute shit show. You work just as much, not much of a chance for remote, 20-30% lower pay structure and the benefits are absolutely shit. For paternity leave pdm gets 2 weeks while core get 16 weeks. Talk about taking advantage of it's employees. I can't wait to get out! Just FYI, those of you want to join make sure you are core and nothing else.
