Anyone here work at Wellington Management and is willing to chat with me about a Data Science / Quant role? Recruiter reached out and I’m considering whether I should interview for it. Currently work at a Global Macro Desk of a MM hedge fund (think Millennium, Balyasny, Pt72) and looking to understand more about firm culture, investment process, career prospects to the extent possible and comp. Thanks!

Perhaps but would recommend you shoot a note over. Sometimes they just don’t get back to candidates, unfortunately. Better to ask and know rather than sit, wait and hope.
Unsure about big 4. But for any big company, this will prob apply:
I interviewed for an analyst title with Goldman years back. Did about 4-5 rounds of phone and in person interviews, including a final round with head of the group. This was all between early October to November. Heard nothing for weeks, then in December the recruiter tells me the role is on hold but I’m still in consideration. Then no word for another few weeks until finally in mid/late January, I was told they hired an internal candidate lmao. They strung me along for no reason. So yeah, it is normal lol
Good to follow up to express interest but don’t overdo it or you’ll sound desperate. But honestly they won’t care lol. If they want u, they’ll give u an offer, simple as that. Keep interviewing for other roles is the best bet, it’s all part of the job hunting game
Not sure about big 4 but JP Morgan took 4 months for me.
It was over 2 years ago. All my interviews were in March and I didn’t start until July. So I guess 3 months because I finally heard back in June they wanted me. I was even poached externally for the role, I wasn’t even looking for a new job.
