Hello, everyone! I am new to fishbowl, the Healthcare field, and fairly new to my company. One of my primary goals, besides finding the highest quality talent to join our team, is to expand my network. If anyone here is willing to send me a LinkedIn connect request I would be very appreciative! It will be a mutual benefit, I assure you.
My LinkedIn contact link is linkedin.com/in/zachary-chrisafis-70252a238
Why is LinkedIn even?

“People like you?”
That statement just rubbed me the wrong way.
Definitely talk to HR. He threatened your position at the company for medical reasons. It might fall under discrimination
I don’t know your firm, but that is expressly against our policy. Talk to HR immediately
Consult an employment attorney first, then submit to HR or through your company’s ethics line. Shame on him.
I think that it came out the wrong way but the message was supportive. He wants you to come back, he wants you to know that you can be promoted, he wants you to know that people want to work with you.
The delivery is definitely sub-par but the message is awesome!
Yeah, this sounds like what my sponsor would have said in a well-meaning but atrociously delivered way. The message is positive even though this person has a negative EQ. What this means is that you can stop replaying the convo and know that you have support no matter what your next steps are.
Also, I hope you enjoy your time off and get some rest & recovery!! Practice putting yourself first and it will make the return to work much easier 😊
Even if that’s what he’s thinking, to express it and add stress to your situation is awful. Take care of yourself first. Jobs come and go but your health is most important.
Thanks for all the support! So grateful I can talk to folks who actually understand how challenging it is to be where we are atm.

Good luck, OP. Nothing new to add here other than - treat your mind and body like a temple. I’m confident you’ll continuing crushing it after you return from STD.
