Is it normal for a prospective employer to request an employment verification letter from a previous job back in 2015. They are wanting to verify the roles that I held at that company. I already provided them the W-2s. I reached out to the previous employer but haven’t heard back from them and I feel a little awkward pushing them to write me a letter. I also asked the prospective employer HR manager if I can speak to her over the phone and she replied that all correspondence must be over email.

I'm looking at a job offer I recently received, and it turns out both my current firm and potential new firm offer mega-backdoor Roths (MBRs)

I know that *employee* contribution space to 401ks (the $19.5k annual limit) is shared across employers.

Does anyone know if the *employer* match + after tax 401k/MBR space ($38.5k, the residual of the total $58k IRS limit minus the employee $19.5k) can be "double dipped"?
I.e. take advantage of the MBR both employers, put in close to 30kx2 = 60
