I’ve spent the last 2 years looking for somewhere to land because I’m miserable. I don’t know if it’s so much the hours, or if it’s because I feel my technical skills stagnated as soon as I hit manager because my employer focuses on small businesses. I honestly don’t have the soft skills to sell business or to develop new CPAs, and I’m so tired of dealing with clients all the time to boot.
