I started working for my company about 6 weeks ago and I was originally hired to work from a specific location closer to my home. I was told the 1st day of my employment that the location “is not ready yet” and that I would be working out of a temp location further from my home. It has been really inconvenient for me to say the very least and the remote option is unavailable to me until after the probation period which is 6 months. How should I approach having this conversation with my director?

So why do company merges result in mass layoffs?
SAP Technical discussion in a nutshell.
probably justified, I've never and never will work for a startup for those and more reasons lol
sure dm
Most startups fail
I’m very aware of that, 60% in 3 years is the last stat I saw. We sell a very complex physical product and our user has changed at least 4 times since I’ve been here one month lol.
Justified. If they won’t share and most of leadership has not had a successful startup exit, it’ll be difficult to know what success looks like
Dig in, get a few quick wins, and maybe start looking for another job.
Yeah it’s an interesting one, just attained a viable product deployment. I’ve heard/ seen way worse situations in the industry however but this role is so unique that there are virtually NO guidelines on how to be successful, so I’m writing the book from scratch.
Are you anxious because of the newness of the work or do you feel like there is anxiety in the air? If the latter, I would start applying for jobs again unfortunately.
Mostly the newness/ uncertainty of the work, my title isn’t what I like. I gave up product marketing which is a VERY good area in the tech industry for customer training/ learning and development. There’s general chaos but many employees have been there for 7 years + so I’m assuming things are okay?
