When an introvert opens a shop
Hi Fishes, I am a Subcon working at CG and have resigned recently with NP of 30 days. Is it necessary to explain as why I have decided to leave? If yes, will it be okay if I tell them practical reason but it would be a lie ofcourse. By any means, i have no intentions of staying back/receiving conversion or even hike since I have a way better opportunity with an organisation of repute and I don't want to get into any corporate politics. Will it be a problem for me if they find out later?Capgemini

Wow guys I said I’m Canadian. I know taxes aren’t taken out of my pay. I’m charging $45/hr x 1.13% for our GST tax (Ontario).
In the United States professional services are non-taxable period. If you freelance you cannot charge taxes for your consulting. If you buy something you can pass on tax burden to client.
Yes for GST in Canada.
The agency Im freelancing for is only paying me the pre-tax amount on my invoice, and didn’t say anything about it. I called them on it on Friday and will probably hear back today - are they being sneaky or am I outside the norm? New to freelance. If adding tax on top of my hourly isn’t normal I would’ve raised my rate.
Uhhh I don’t think this is a thing in the US at least
@OP are you talking about being paid 1099, which means they don’t take any taxes out? Yes, this is normal for freelancers.
Hoser
It is normal.
