Yes. All noobs feel like this. School and training don’t really prepare you for what we do on a day to day. The longer you stay with PwC and surround yourself with good coaches and team members, the more you’ll feel comfortable and learn how we operate. Don’t worry just be a sponge for the first 6 months to a year. Show initiative that you want to learn and understand.
I had two internships and started full-time two months ago. I feel stupid every single day. Idk if it’s normal, but you’re definitely not alone
I’m right there with you, OP. And I’m also stuck with a career coach who has forgotten how much there is to learn in this job, and that there’s so much that we don’t know when we start as associates. Trying not to let it get me down when I get talked to like I’m stupid half the time, and am literally told “I shouldn’t have to explain this to you.” Maybe we’re all kind of in the same boat, OP. Try to hang in there.
Just hang in there! You’ll get it sooner than you think! Everyone feels lost at first
I felt dumb my entire first year (and maybe a little of my second year). Don’t stress about it. Just work hard to learn as much as you can
Still feel stupid now, once you think you know it all is when you become complacent. Your first year gives you the license to ask any stupid question, as you go up the food chain, it gets harder to ask. There is always scope to learn. Stay humble and curious.
Yeah I felt like a complete idiot during training cause I didn’t intern so I was a little slower at Aura and what-not. In the grand scheme of things though it didn’t matter. Everyone is better/worse at something
The first 3 months are the worst. It gets better after that as long as you aren’t on shitty teams
Quick word of advice: Run run run as fast as you can away from PwC. Do everything you possibly can to get into Deloitte. Deloitte consulting that is. All audit is hell no matter where you do it
It’s totally normal:)))) I felt the same! It is gonna be just fine! Do not worry about anything! Just go with the flow.
Thank you for everyone that reply. That has made me feel better and restored my faith in just learning one day at the time
