I slept for 5 days straight after a 240 month. So yes, I think sleeping for a week is normal for you.
Idk what’s normal but after last month I’m working as many half days as I can and spending the time in bed on my phone or half napping lol
Yup. I had a 400+ month last year and I swear I’m still not recovered. Or maybe it’s the 300+ December I had… one more year and my loans will be gone😣
Good for you!
First off, I’m sorry you guys are all going through that ish. Sleep debt can’t be recouped in one session. After I quit biglaw I slept 10hrs a day for like 3 weeks and still felt drowsy for a month or two before recovering. Then I went back into biglaw cause I’m an idiot and I found the best recovery program was getting back into the gym and sleeping a minimum of 6 hrs a night even if I split it as 3hr nap 3-4 hr cram and then 3hr nap again. I didn’t always hit that target but made the life more sustainable. Hope that helps.
I had a stretch of three 300+ hour months in a row towards the end of 2020 and I still haven’t recovered.
The last quarter of 2021 were all months of 290+. Last week I was finally done and it took a few days to sleep it out. I was sleeping for 10-12 hours in the night and I took afternoon naps for about 2 hours. It was like jet lag without the staying up at night part. It’s been a week now and I feel so good.
Re: recouping, didn’t need to recoup after a 300 month because my brain stopped forming memories so no trauma!
