Do you have someone in your office/group that you just loathe? They’ve only been on good projects with strong project teams since they’ve started. I’ve gone to them for help in the past via a partners suggestion but came to find out they’ve had their hand held the whole time. How do you get past feeling jealous and annoyed because you work your ass off and are supposedly a top performer but still get put on shit projects with no help? Is it really just time to walk? Most likely getting fired, tips on how to find a job ASAP? I made a pretty big mistake that required supplemental filings with government offices to fix (missed some items when reviewing/comparing long lists of things across 20-30 years). It’s fixable and the client isn’t really getting hurt by this (worst case signing gets delayed), but my anxiety is telling me to prepare for the worst. Can I ask for extra time at the firm to find a new job (so I wasn’t “fired”)? Or should I go for severance?
