Is it okay to use a corporate discount code at Avis (when booking a car for personal use)? I know people used to do it all the time pre-covid but don’t know if it’s easier to get caught since not many people are traveling for work now

i went to miami this past week and Avis checked for my ID when using my corporate code.

The rental car companies are running out of cars. In some markets they are actually looking at and adjusting contracts.

There are days I can’t wrap my head around things in our schools system. Our county will more than likely be shut down this week due to drastic increase in covid cases. We will know today. Yesterday, teachers got a harsh lecture that we were the cause that Covid was spreading in the schools (it wasn’t nice), but now sports can play when our county is shut down. I can’t make this stuff up. Our society would never survive a true plague.

Any suggestions on paid / subscription services such as CNBC Pro for investment advice / stock research for investing? I am sitting on 50% of cash in my portfolio and would like to invest over next 6 months. I know I can’t time the market but trying to be better informed for investing 400K nearly. Sold nearly half of my stocks in Covid days for 5% loss. I follow all the market news daily but I feel like I need some paid / subscription service for better guidance but not on commission basis.

Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.

For those who exit to industry, do you find recruiters lowball? They often quote a salary based on YOE and their standard pay - often lower because their salary progression is slower. 4YOE at consulting you make $120k~$150k but they quote $100k because that’s how they pay their homegrown analysts. Nobody thus far thinks 4y at consulting is worth 5-6 YOE, I’ve even met someone who only match me to their 2-3 YOE analyst because they think their program is more prestigious and want to hold me back.
