I’m in government consulting (DHS) and I don’t travel at all. Was previously at Booz and maybe traveled 3 or 4 times over the course of two years for a similar client.

In my experience, only those who want it and are gung-ho will travel, especially internationally. But I've mostly just done done contracting and staff augmentation.

Any interest in Deloitte?

Yup. Happy to refer to GT if you're interested. Great WLB.

At booz. Traveled rarely before covid. Now we are posturing for telework indefinitely. It really depends on the client. If you can deliver remotely, then your probably can work remotely.

My first therapy appointment tomorrow! I’ve never dealt with depression before having my second kid and my PPD was/is rough! Filling out the intake form I basically had to list out all the things I’ve dealt with - rape, mom issues, death in family during pandemic, kid hit by car, ppd, and a slew of over things… looking forward to working through these things over time, whatever that might look like.

Anyone other staff feel like the biggest contributor to stress during busy season isn’t the workload. It’s the lack of support or help while you’re just thrown into the deep end not knowing how to swim? In-charges, especially the newly promoted ones are either hit or miss or they’re way too busy with their own work. I almost feel like I’m ready to quit because no job is worth the mental health sacrifice.
