Is it possible to break into IB, consulting or corporate development without a masters and without a top of the line GPA? I know I can handle the work it’s just the matter of receiving the opportunity to do so

Pretty much this, and also network network network. Despite what people say on here, it's really not that bad and you'll be able to find a good role eventually

I networked my ass off to get my shot in high finance. To get started just join your local CFA society. Take the level 1 at least once and goto as many luncheons as possible. Any even they have you make it and network.

CFA is def a shortcut in.

Would it be a mistake to go back into consulting?
I’m a PM at a B2B startup and have been in the role for over 2 years. Prior to that I was a consultant. I want to move into B2C but I’m finding it tough to get interviews, and even the few that I’ve had I’ve subsequently been rejected. Would I be better off going into product consulting to help my chances? Or would that make going into product again that much more harder?

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
Thanks for any help!
