Would it be a mistake to go back into consulting?
I’m a PM at a B2B startup and have been in the role for over 2 years. Prior to that I was a consultant. I want to move into B2C but I’m finding it tough to get interviews, and even the few that I’ve had I’ve subsequently been rejected. Would I be better off going into product consulting to help my chances? Or would that make going into product again that much more harder?

Is the 6% inflation rate rn an good excuse for higher raises? Some said if you don’t get at least that much then you’re taking a pay cut and other said it doesn’t matter bcuz of deflation and not being able to take away pay when/if inflation decreases. Thoughts?
I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
Thanks for any help!
Should I be concerned about limited deal experience (generally poor deal flow in group) leading into PE role? Consider myself pretty sound with technicals otherwise
