Make $120k Accenture now doing tech implementations, just got offer 200k TC EY business consulting. I love my job, have a great WLB (working 20 hours per week, no travel, clear path to M in about 1.5 years) - am I an idiot for even contemplating staying? What I would be doing is more PPT/functional vs Onestream/technical which I do now.

I applied for jobs around the country even though they weren’t listed as remote. When I got to interview phase, then I inquired about remote option (but I was fine to travel to headquarters as needed) Two of the companies I interviewed with we’re OK with this. I start my new job in two weeks - remotely
Congrats!!!

Lots of software engineering jobs I imagine. You're still early in your career so you can pivot to basically anything you want.
Booz Allen. Won’t be fully remote but can be mostly. On rough weeks, you’ll work 40hrs. Yes, 40hrs during busy weeks.
Fed consulting
Where are you at now? Of course it can be totally dependent on project/team/firm but when I was at Booz there were plenty of projects that were true 9-5s. When I was at a smaller firm 12 hour days were the norm
Presales jobs pretty much meet that category.
I’m starting a pre sales job soon & cant wait!

Are you me? I think my husband worked for 2 hours today.
My old company (Cigna) and many startups def offer this, fully remote, (depending on the role and how you play up your experience/skills) 6figs, no weekend work.
And just as a caveat - that was just my personal experience; my whole team and so many other colleagues are and have been permanently remote for years at the company, of all ages and in all states, and in all ranks. They also had the opportunity to meet up in person to a local or their manager’s office (paid for by the company).

If you want to be remote now is the time to try and lock that down. Lots of companies, even non-tech, are open to remote roles because of the pandemic and the tight labor market. Both of which will change at some point.
