If your country is India I can get you a job for $0.25 a day!
Haha if that was the case I'm sure a ton of people from the Midwest would be taking that NYC salary and staying in Ohio.
You’re hilarious
Our of the country? Good luck. you’d have to work in other-country location and MAYBE you can find some Us work. But legal/withholding issues won’t allow you to work for a big 4 US branch and be in a different country.
You can, however, find remote work for tax and audit with some online accounting firms. I’ve looked into some - for example beech valley. Still don’t think they let you work full time from another country though
Even the people who work from a virtual office in audit have to travel to client sites. If you want 100% remote/no travel...pick tax
Audit Senior 1, funny you mention Ohio, because that's exactly where our outsourcing center is based...
Unless you’re working on a specific set of clients where you think you could get your team to support you, you’re not going to find a new firm that will let you do this (I could be wrong). So much of the job is the soft interaction (both internally and with clients) that really isn’t practical remotely. Feels like you would really be limiting your ability to progress (you’d turn yourself into a one person off shore resource center).
Why are you so interested in working on US based audits specifically?
I don’t see the reason that any firm would want to do that. I mean, think about all the the hassles on communication. Plus, all big4 have outsource center so why would they just do that.
I just got an email about remote audit senior position. I’m sure there’s a few out there
Outside the country causes Corp tax issues, payroll issues etc. We had a manager who needed to move Home to Canada and we tried to work out his working remote and we couldn’t make it work..
You could probably work remote within the US, but as previous posters have said the legal/tax issues for working out of the country would make it 99% likely to be a no go.
Cyber Coders does remote audit work. Can’t vouch for them, but check it out
