Does it bother anyone else when a partner won't let you get a word in during a client meeting? I pitched the case and we were told that the client chose us in significant part because of my relevant technical expertise. Further, the client has specifically requested that I attend the client meetings. Not really sure the best way to manage the situation.

Has anyone been pressured to travel during the pandemic? I had an awkward exchange with a supervising attorney who wants to protect a client relationship from our outside trial counsel who happens to be my mentor and someone that my supervising attorney trusts more than most. “Travel” means flying to a state with rising COVID cases (17% positivity rate and rising) to be in the room for client’s deposition. Nothing has been finalized given supervising attorney tabled when I pushed back.

I got the CAPM (certified associate of project management) in December, but that hasn’t really changed things. Would love some opinions before working on another certification!
