Anyone else feeling like every single day of work in consulting with the current home office set up is a real pain & struggling to motivate to even care about the job? Any advice to regain motivation? Balancing long hours and constant time pressure without sitting together with the team and the client seems so much harder
Does it bother anyone else when a partner won't let you get a word in during a client meeting? I pitched the case and we were told that the client chose us in significant part because of my relevant technical expertise. Further, the client has specifically requested that I attend the client meetings. Not really sure the best way to manage the situation.
Looking for an ad agency or client side that tops up mat leave? Seems like this is rare in the marketing world.

Is anyone out there considering or has moved from agency client mgmt to product management or product design? I really want to do more brand design and CX work but it seems tough to find (open) client mgmt roles at these types of agencies. Growth opportunities at my agency and current account are slim (WPP agency). I'm trying my best to identify opps in branding/CX within the agency but it's not always there. Thanks all.

Anyone hiring for HR, Project Manager, or Business Analyst roles? I have 3 years 8 months of experience in HR at a midsized law firm in SoCal. I have an AA in Business Admin, Economics, Social & Behavioral Science. If you’re not hiring, I appreciate any referrals. Thank you kindly.
Having 3YoE in procurement research and now in a research team at an MBB, I feel I've reached plateau learning-wise. Have been focused in Chemical domain throughout.
I now intend to explore roles on client(Chemical Companies) side (like SCM, Planning, Strategy) but unsure how do I go about it.
What should be an ideal career roadmap for someone like me. How should I prepare/do in order to pivot towards those roles?
PS. I'm a BE Chemical Engineering, and no MBA.

Has anyone been pressured to travel during the pandemic? I had an awkward exchange with a supervising attorney who wants to protect a client relationship from our outside trial counsel who happens to be my mentor and someone that my supervising attorney trusts more than most. “Travel” means flying to a state with rising COVID cases (17% positivity rate and rising) to be in the room for client’s deposition. Nothing has been finalized given supervising attorney tabled when I pushed back.
For the people who earned the SHRM-CP, did you feel it was worth it? I have an indirect HR position, been applying for more HR focused positions and wondering if this would help. I got the CAPM (certified associate of project management) in December, but that hasn’t really changed things. Would love some opinions before working on another certification!
Because I’m currently wedding planning (2 months out), at going to my bachelorette in 24 hours, and have been on the same project for 7 months, I’m starting to make stupid mistakes because work is no longer a priority.
Anyone else go through this when wedding planning?
Should I go with opportunity providing 3.5 LPA lesser than the highest offer I have for guaranteed better learning opportunity? Higher offer is of a service based company for which I won't know about the work till I join, as it depends on the client. I tried to negotiate and decrease the difference but the first company said they won't be able to increase even by an inch because it would bring salary skewness in team. Please suggest.
Any idea what is the difference between the roles of Software Engineer and Business Engineer in Facebook (Meta)

Has anyone taken classes in valuations and received some kind of credential with just an EA? After a bit of a detour I’m getting my EA this year. I‘ve looked in to a few options, like the CVA, but it looks like I’d have to go to business school or become a CPA. I’m not against either but I don’t feel ready to apply to schools just yet. Wondering if anyone has taken a similarly unconventional route in their careers.

Is there a mass exodus of strategy people in pharma right now? My inbox is flooding with recruiters the last week or two (not trying to show off in the slightest - these are clearly just form emails) and I can’t tell if this is because business is actually growing or everyone’s jumped ship and now all these openings are showing up…

How long is the interview process for a senior with FDD experience at big 4, Kroll, A&M, FTI, and HL?
Anyone know when FDD/Deal Advisory hiring will slow down? I want to wait until I get my annual rating back (I’ll be rated tier 1 or 2) and pass my cpa exams (only BEC left) to make my profile more competitive. I also have a rotation coming up in CMAAS (advisory) which should also help. But im scared of waiting too long to apply and missing out on the hiring frenzy that’s been going on. Any thoughts?
