Is it possible to land a financial analyst position with only 6 months of experience in audit? I tried to stick it out w/ B4 but I don’t think I can do it anymore. I’m interested in duties like budgeting/forecasting, but haven’t come across very many entry level positions. I’m mostly seeing entry level jobs that are called “financial analyst” but include duties like JE/reconciliations. I don’t have SQL/Tableau experience either... so not sure if I just need more experience in a diff role first?

I would try to focus less on the job title and more on having transferable skills which suit the role you’re aiming for. Ideally entry level FP&A financial analysts should have strong excel skills and be able to contribute to meaningful data analysis. I’d recommend emphasizing those skills in applications and/or practising them if you’re not quite there. If you’re not seeing these roles posted try to get your resume out to recruiters and let them know what you’re looking for. Best of luck!

Question: I currently work as an inside sales account manager selling a wide portfolio of IT products. I’ve been recruited for a role that would be an outside sales role selling ONLY a software solution that Im able to sell at my current company (but usually don’t due to other options that we are compensated better off of.) The new role would have some overlap with current customers that I work closely with now (one being a VERY large client.) Would this violate a non-compete/solicitation?

I recently got a job offer from a company I used to work for that has a great work/life balance and culture but has a slower track to get promoted. My current employer has a not great work/life balance but it’s much easier to get promoted. Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. Then leaving my employer to study FAR. I am considering to leave my current employer anyways, so it’s more of how my future employer would view that lapse.

Hi fishes,
I checked a role at DBS Singapore and found my profile to be suitable for it.
Could anyone be helpful for a referral? I'll share the deets on DM.

I have an interview tomorrow with a recruiter for a federal contractor agency. The position is a data entry support (hybrid) for a bank. They explained the salary $18 and some change, presented benefits, and surface details in the job.

My last full time job paid $21 with an inconsistent schedule while this one is technically salary with full time hours.

Can I negotiate? I'd at least like $20 since this job is a stepping stone for me.

Company is KACE Company/Providencia Group.

What is the interview process like at TH Lee?
