HELP PLEASE! !
Hello i got an offer from Brillio (joining in 2023) but as an intern i have experience of using go-lang as backend developer. So my question is should i join Brillo or look for some other companies. I don't know what type of clients Brillio have and tech they use.
Please help.

PE or VC? Which one and why?
This guy Jesus was able to do plenty of miracles, haven’t heard of my as of late
Lol this guy wants to go not only from back office to front office, but also be rewarded a rank
Another team on my floor (FO) hired a BO associate into an analyst role
BO to FO role let alone to VP? You wish lmao
This guy is smoking crack
Not going to mock you for it, but the short answer is no. More likely to be asked to take a step down to analyst than a step up to VP. Most common is to step back to an associate 1
Bro even if you take yrs back you will earn more
^ if by quant side of FO you mean a quant shop, no we don’t hire risk asso to FO, and even if we do in the rarest case, you’d have to start as an analyst. If you meant quants on a trading desk, maybe that works.
Very very unlikely. More likely to get senior analyst or very junior associate role
And BO>FO that step is likely to result in flat comp or a slight bump and certainly more bonus.
True^ titles are just titles. I’ve seen AVPs get less than an associate
From associate to intern coffee-runner
VP would be hard, will have to take a discount
So many replies but not one asked whether the guy is in IBD or some quant/trading role...
@OP - BO associate to FO VO is next to impossible unless you have a hook, even then super hard.. having said that, I don't if you'd need to go as an analyst either...
IBD just tends to be difficult, but if you're in trading, such as risk, products, etc and want to move to the quant side of the FO, I'd imagine you'd have some leverageable skills.. but if you were in IBD BO working on public company profiles for FO guys, or running quick reg w clearances, etc the overlap in skills would be very minimal
Best I’ve seen is VP to VP later from BO to FO (distressed investing) Assuming you consider credit risk BO
