What’s a typical salary % increase for a general strategy consultant at B4 exiting to industry? Would be a startup or large food company.
Would anyone that has moved from Big 4 to MBB be willing to chat for 15-30 minutes? I’m hitting a point where I am enjoying consulting (advisory) but I’m not sure the idea of narrowing in on a specific industry and exact skillset appeals to me. Seems like MBB is broader and I’m curious (also not assuming I could even get in, but I want to explore the option).
Is Director at PwC equivalent to SM at the other Big 4? If so, why are SM at PwC seemingly paid more than SM at the other Big 4?

New consultant in Big 4 here. I can’t believe I am asking about this, but I landed on a team where half the team are older East Asian immigrants and don’t get along due to national and cultural differences. I am just watching virtual hostility in front of me daily. The other half of the team (myself included) are American raised of all different identities are more junior and just don’t know what to do. Advice please.
I only been at BIG 4 for a year. I am so miserable because I work at PwC and my team is huge and the busy season is endless. I was thinking of transferring to a different firm because I dont feel like I fit my culture so was thinking of moving to a different firm?
Currently an A3 in audit. My team communicated to me that they’re pushing for me to get mid-year promo (Jan 2022) but I’m also interested in leaving to another Big 4 for AAS as an S1. Current salary is $73.6k and am unsure of how much I should be going for to make the jump worth it. I know EY FAAS offered a friend $85k in my market but assuming I get mid year promo I’m not so sure the salary bump would be significant enough. How much room for negotiation is there with Big 4 experienced hires?
Fellow fish, how should I prepare for consulting interview? Any resources on problem solving, objection handling, story telling and painting a vision, difficult customers etc.?

How should I think about this decision. I have an industry offer in my current MCOL city at a very compelling salary but would have a long (45min to 1 hour) commute at least a few days a week. I have leads in a HCOL city where commute time is TBD, as is the offer. My spouse can work remotely for for his mental health I think he should try to go into the office. We could move to the burbs so that I don’t have to commute but then he would have to look for a new job or work remotely. Cont…
Did anyone exit from consulting to sales positions at Google or Microsoft? I am looking to pivot into sales and having a bit of a hard time getting interviews. Hello industry folks, really need your career advice - YOE 4.5, CTC - 6.4 LPA, ICICI Recently transitioned from an operations role to Product Manager role. Got a new opportunity with Infosys as Senior Associate Consultant Banking Domain for 11LPA+1L Joining Bonus. Now, as I transitioned to PM role, there are tons of opportunities to learn and grow, however, CTC and hikes are meagre. Whereas, with the new opportunity, CTC is good, but cant figure out what career would be in Infosys and after.
Do you think it's an interview red flag if admin tell you not to accept the offer if you're going to quit mid-year? 🤔
I enjoy PA and being partner would be tight but I don't want to sacrifice every other aspect of life. They always promote balance but they promote people who don't have balance. Just bad culture.
