Given that many many people had covid without even knowing it/being totally asymptomatic this seems like a very silly question. Of course you can have covid and not feel sick - that’s like actually kind of the point and one of the reasons it spreads so much.
What do you mean you ran out of time for the vaccine…they have them for walkins at the Walgreens 2 blocks from my house if you need the address.

Directors are just managers some places, don’t give them all the praise.. also lots of leaders can be idiots
I’m glad you stay away from people, and it’s impressive you are running 4 miles a day even when sick—but how do you know that while you’re breathing at an elevated rate that some child or old person isn’t turning a corner and walking into the path of germs you are exhaling? Whether or not you get vaccinated is your choice, but literally the very least you could do is stay home when you’re sick.
Bahhhhh 🐑
Sorry what do you mean ran out of time? You could get vaccinated any day of the week anywhere in the country
Still inside. Like come on. Take a week off running. Do stuff at home. Like come on this isn't new stuff bud
You still need the vaccine even if you already had COVID… It’s not just about protecting yourself.
Who really knows? Absolutely no one, apparently. Even the CDC keeps changing things.
OP If you tested positive you should def self isolate until you’re in the clear. I was exposed this past weekend and as soon as I was alerted, I tested and self isolated. I may or may not be positive but I’m not taking the chance being out there until I know for sure.

Man so you got covid twice and recovered both times with no complications? Baller.
Now let me give you a slightly different and far less humorous take. I'm a covid long hauler. It's completely messed up my health, my career, my abilities, my outlook on life. I'm forcing myself to work but I have a really difficult time focusing. Intense fatigue, body aches, migraines and brain fog are real. Sense of smell is still not right after 10 months. Sometimes I can't talk. I'm not blowing smoke, this is my life. "It's almost like a cold" ??????? What utter drivel and disrespect to all those who lost their lives and all of us still struggling.
Uhhhh why are you leaving your house if you have covid? You could infect someone else, even if you are outside. I can’t believe we are still having these conversations.

Given that you ran 4 miles AND tested positive for Covid, apparently yes. Stay isolated. If you’re going to get tested again get an at home test so you don’t expose anyone else. And when you get better, get vaccinated. I’d say they’re literally giving them away but that’s understatement since they’re literally paying people to get them at this point.

All you guys harping on OP for going outside can chill out. In some areas, you can’t go outside because you’d 100% run into someone. I promise you that in my rural AF town, I could run 2 miles in one direction and not possibly come into contact with another person. AND IF I DID, there would be PLENTY of time/space to make sure we stayed super far apart.
YES, you absolutely need to be smart and safe. NO, you don’t necessarily have to hide under a blanket in your basement.
OP, I don’t know where you live. I hope to god you’re using common sense about what you can safely do. You need to assume that you are indeed positive, even if you feel ok.
Yep - I walk my dog for 2 miles almost every morning (6-7am). I think I see someone driving past during this walk maybe 1-2x a week. I see someone else out exercising maybe once a month. If I walk on the trails behind our house on town property... I think I've seen people on those 1-2x in the last year. Not all of us live so close to our neighbors we can lean in their window from our kitchens and sneeze in their soup.
So I currently have covid (unvaccinated) and I ran 12 on Sunday and 4 yesterday. It was a little challenging, but I am not sure if it is COVID or start of football season and drinking too much over the weekend
You can get a false negative on a test until the viral load can be detected, but not a false positive.

Fwiw - unvaccinated
I had covid in 2020 and was waiting for high risk people to get fully vaccinated first and then ran out of time.

Not true. My dad is high risk and lives in the Chicago area and wasn’t able to get fully vaccinated until May. I still had plenty of time since May but failed to make it a priority. Now I will.
It’s great that you feel fine, but you can ultimately spread the virus to others who may also get sick and die. If you don’t have a treadmill at home, sorry you won’t be running your 4 miles a week. You can’t just think about yourself and his you feel, there are other people that come into place here because you’re contagious whether you feel fine or not. Smh

I ran 6 miles, barefoot, in the snow, uphill, while dry heaving.
🤦♀️
If you got a positive, you treat it as a positive. You should never treat a positive as a false positive??
What will getting tested do for you? Convince you it was okay to have run by people when you know you had a positive test for nearly a week? That it’s okay to have walked through an apartment complex or grocery store? This is wildly selfish. This has been around for so long that you should know that little to know symptoms can still make you a carrier. Have you watched any news about full ICUs? Or read about kids dying from COVID? This is such a blatant disregard for others. And for 4 miles a day? Geez.
Running with COVID or even a cold is just asking for more trouble. Let your body heal. If you need to be outside go on a walk and wear a mask. Common sense

Moderate effort exercise is recommended with mildly symptomatic colds (no fever, no exhaustion, etc). “Moderate” will vary depending on the existing fitness level.

I’m guessing you are trying to ascertain as to whether you could have covid since you are able to run. I would say, sure. Not everyone has breathing issues with it.
My husband is a runner and rower, and has been for about 2 decades, he generally runs through almost all sicknesses (we haven’t gotten covid, and are vaccinated though). I tend to persuade him to ease off running when he is really sick, but he always still wants to.
I would stay inside though, it’s not worth the risk of exposing someone. You don’t have a machine to use?
