Hi guys I have an offer from Accenture and no issues in terms of CTC, job profile or other things. The only thing I am skeptical about is the job security. Do they really get rid of employees in a regular basis or the covid situation was a one time measure? This would probably be the last switch in my career and security would be of utmost importance to me. Please advise

For super basic 1040s that belong in TurboTax, sure. Anything that you could actually charge a decent amount for, it would be hard. I’ve been doing this for 9 years and I feel pretty dumb most days.
If you are asking this question, you probably should get a few more years of experience and do a little more homework.
Tax firm? No. Bookkeeping + corporate filings + Tax services (full package)? Yes.
If you want to be specialized, you need to be an expert. Your 3 years most likely won't cut it. You need to be a director or above. If you want to be a generalist, it's possible you have enough experience to take care of really small family business who needs an outsourced accountant to hold their hand at a smaller fee. You're not going to make enough off simple W2s and 1099s clients. There's not that much out there willing to pay and those who pay are too low to cover software costs.
But still depends on you. If you perform on par with most your peers, I would say with confidence that you're not ready. I know managers who still don't have basic accounting fundamentals down, simply following procedures to complete engagements. That's not going to cut it, especially when you're now providing bookkeeping services.
Are you really an associate because I feel like an idiot at my job. Lol
I did. It's problematic, but possible 😂
