If getting in your car and driving to a remote cabin leads to you catching the virus, then humanity is doomed anyway.
Just know you or your friends could already have it and be asymptomatic. You could in theory spread it to each other or others at gas stations or wherever you run into people. There’s a reason why we’re supposed to be sheltering in place as annoying as it is.
^this. don't be typhoid mary
I think this is fine. Others won’t, but I think the risk is minimal if all of your friends are perfectly healthy and you avoid people when you get back.

Totally fine. You’re probably going to have 100+ people come here and tell you your crazy and that you should sit home until a vaccine hits, but definitely sounds like you’re taking precautions. Go for it.

Your risks would seem to be:
- Exposure to the virus from people you’re staying with there, if applicable
- Exposure along the way (rest areas, gas stations, grocery to stock up the cabin, food stops en route)
- If it’s tied to a park, closure of the park
- Fewer health care options if you do get sick
- Bears (just kidding, maybe)
But overall it would seem to be a lower risk activity.
