No it’s not tone deaf, just consider that with everything going on chances may be slimmer.

Which firm?

Is it mid year now?

Yes

Nope.

Yes yes yes.

No. You just need a good case and a plan b in case things do not work out.

Sorry I can’t give you that promotion, but I can give you an extra paycheck for 2 whole weeks.

I’ve got 8 years experience, work at a small, hot creative agency in NYC and will be promoted to CD soon. I’m not irreplaceable since no one truly is, but I’m a high value employee responsible for a good proportion of the agency’s marquee creative work and some important new business wins. I’m at $165k now, what should I ask for with my promotion?

I have an offer that is a 50% pay raise (TC $170) and 4-day work week at a small org! Tried negotiating up 5k—was told no and there’s another person they were also interested in as a close 2nd. Current org wants to counter offer, details coming on Mon. Told new org I’d give final answer Mon after I see the counter. Then I got invited to a final interview round at Meta, with their final decision coming on Wed. I’m worried about losing the current offer if I try to push it out to Wed…help!

Have received a competing offer. Tbh I have no interest in leaving Accenture (for a variety of reasons), but wanted to see if I can use it as leverage for more money + promotion outcome. From what I understand I have a really good chance at the L7 promo in the upcoming mid year results. How do I navigate this?

New to Fishbowl! I’m a retail pharmacy technician in MO with 12 years experience. No degree, just my State Pharmacy license. Was at $16 per hour until last October and was given $1 raise, so currently at $17 per hour. I feel very underpaid. Looking to move on if I can’t negotiate a better hourly rate. What is the average pay range for someone with similar experience? Also, suggestions for other positions to apply my current skill set?

Does pretty much every company require you to fight for raises in order to keep up with market value or are there companies that exist who are good about paying you your worth? If so, which companies are good at this?

I was a month in as a Workday HCM Consultant with Accenture. They immediately throw me into the HCM courses to obtain my WD HCM certification. There are three parts HCM Essentials, HCM Applied, and HCM Practical. The passing score is 70 or above. I scored a 62 on the Essentials portion, I passed Applied, and at the end of this week Practical. During class, I received an “immediate connect” Team call and I was fired because of my low score. I'm devastated, and shocked. Yesterday was my birthday.

What's your requirement for getting into a relationship? As a generally open minded and chill guy, it took me a loooong time and a handful of failed long term things to get to a point where I'm now picky beyond looks and communication style. But now I feel like I overshot it and am getting *too* picky, and don't know where to stop 😵‍💫
