Never too early if you don't like it

Agree. It's easier to leave early if you know it's not for you. It's really not worth staying and being miserable

like

Yeah too early. Making at least senior will help your resume unless what you want to do in life is completely unrelated to what you are doing..

Depends on the reasons as to why you are leaving. To go to mid tier? Sure go ahead. To get out of public and into private? Def too early. To go back to school or do something else/ non-accounting - go right away! But make sure no regrets...

Just remember that big 4 compensation is exponential (I got a 12% raise after my first year), and industry you're looking at like 1-3% annual raise and way longer to senior than in big 4. Depends on what you want to do, but I think sticking it out as long as you can makes your next job way better if you want to stay in the accounting/finance world. But if you hate it, you should leave. Life's too short.

Go for it if you want to be a staff accountant for the rest of forever. Would suggest staying through first year as a senior so you can demonstrate you have leadership skills and can project manage

Hey all
Just started a big 4 firm 2 weeks ago. Someone reached out to me for a month long engagement that seems incredibly boring, understaffed and not really what I’m interested in. Don’t want to get pidgeoned holed into boring work so early. Do I need to say yes lol

I am not hired for senior accountant roles because they say they say I am over qualified. Manager level roles I am told I am under qualified.

These questions might have been asked before. How difficult is it to transition to MBB from Big 4, how different is the work culture? Are there significant hikes in compensation? And workload?

I have a final round interview with a Big 4 firm today. Could I request I start date of the end of august or beginning of September or is that pushing it? I have been ghosted after getting a verbal offer the big 4 before...
