Hi fishes! I had asked for benefits other than CTC which Bank of America provides & now that I've completed 1 month here, here's the list of allowances you'll be getting irrespective of position/band:
1. Sodexo: 1300 p.m./ 15,600 p.a.
2. Transport allowance: 900 one way, 1800 two ways p.m./ 21,600 p.a.
3. Internet: 1500 max p.m. (other than that, one time installation charges)
4. Tuition fee: Any certification related to your field. Like CFA, FRM etc. 3,00,000 p.a.

3 year associate? Yeah, definitely go for it! That is plenty of time at the associate/staff level. If you arent granted the promotion, maybe consider looking for a new employer?
That’s what I’m thinking. I’m hoping this will tell me where I stand with them.
After this tax season ? Maybe reach out to the manager/ partner and let them know your expectations and set some goals that if you can reach them then you can get the promotion
Rising Star
I would’ve tried for senior after two years with the third year being the year I make it
Definitely go for it
First does the local firm recognize titles or have they not promoted you because they don’t think you’re ready? My friend worked at a local firm and they don’t have titles until manager since staff/Senior does the same thing and salary is what matters to them.
If that’s the case and they give you a title bump, don’t expect a significant pay increase if at all.
Who are the decision makers??? Generally they are NOT in hr. Schedule a call with decision makers. Let them know upfront that you like working there and your looking for suggestions:
What type of work should I expect this busy season (prep vs review vs research)
What are areas you should focus on. ( Listen to what they say and be careful with responding. Sometimes what you think are clarifying questions sound like defensive responses LISTEN. Circle back in a separate discussion if you need clarification)
What are the expectations / criteria the firm wants to see b4 promoting someone at your level
Are there special projects or areas that you could help with - technical, recruiting, etc. (don’t ask if you’re not willing to do extra work)
