They are huge on not negotiating salary there based on their blog.
Anyone know the base salary/expected commission? - It requires you to answer on the application. I would be so thrilled to work at the company I just want to put what they start out at.

In my practice unless you are a white woman, you cannot get promoted.
Same at Accenture except Asian men are the only POC group that seem to get promoted
They’re too smart to do something that stupid which could result in major lawsuits.
They’re too smart to do it or say it out loud. The legal team knows what will hold up in court or not.
Not explicitly.... it may naturally happen as it does in most companies
Honestly, this is probably where the sentiment was coming from. I don’t have enough experience to confidently say one way or another in this instance, but there’s plenty of behaviors that result from unspoken rules ingrained in the culture of certain industries / companies

Go home you’re drunk

We most certainly don’t. I personally know women who have been promoted to MD while on maternity leave, and on average women across the organization get promoted slightly faster than men. We have a way to go still but the goals are identified, the actions are in place and any organized effort to hold back women’s careers would be quickly uncovered given the KPIs that are tracked, and the persons responsible most likely terminated.

Not what OP was talking about, but this article is a great read on how companies offer accomodations for working moms (flexible time, internal facing roles) that end up drastically hampering their career progress https://hbr.org/2020/03/whats-really-holding-women-back

No. But we do have programs you can opt into if you need to slow the pace to accommodate family things, to ramp down and up before/after may leave. These can reduce up or out pressure. Opt in is the key here. Not discrimination.

Guidehouse, where the heck did you hear this?
So I partner at Bain had info to share about mck and bcg? Lol I’m not sure you know what second hand means.
Even if they do, this would be the last platform that they will make information public on. 🤣
Are you seriously asking this question
Oh hahaha.. I thought you demoted BCG. Where did they come from now.
Rising Star
Nope
Is this something they have at Guidehouse?
Actually, yes, they just created a mommy track. GH just added a "specialist" track.
Is that the intent of the specialist track? No. Will women and minorities get pushed into because leadership thinks it's a "better fit"? Absolutely
No...
How do they know they are fertile?
I thought this was beyond shocking myself and needed to ask to feel it out and get any tea if there was any so thanks for participating everyone for quickly putting this to rest 👍🏼 Have a happy Friday!
The practice is so covert and it’ll be hard to find someone to admit it here. Look at the number of non-white women in leadership positions and you’ll see both racism and sexism at work.

How do they know which of those young women want to be Mommy in future?
They ask you under the guise of getting to know you. They’ll say they have kids, do you?
