Internal Audit depends, Public Accounting depends. I work in "Public Accounting" doing internal audit and live in middle america making >$135k as a senior associate (including bonus). If I left to work anywhere in industry I would have to consider taking a pay cut or look for a Manager position.

Most IA co-sourcing/outsourcing providers (B4 or not) are experiencing pretty high resource constraints resulting in elevated hours nearly year round.

In general, IT audit is considered as specialist, so it makes more money. as P1 said, it depends but generally speaking, yes

Within industry, I typically do see IT auditors get paid more than their operational / financial counterparts. That salary gap can vary depending on the industry, with IT auditors in technology companies earning significantly more. However that difference is because you’re dealing with substantially more complex IT environments and are expected to bring a lot more technical knowledge to the table compared to IT Audit / Process Assurance in public accounting.

Generally yes, but not a significant amount more. Probably within 5%.

I’ve been in both IT audit and core FS audit at two different B4 firms, salary difference was negligible

My I-485 got transferred (from TSC) to NBC for faster processing, but my spouse’s did not. Anyone knows if this means my spouse’s GC may get approved a lot after mine is approved? Or do they usually get approved around the same time (even if being processed in different Centers)? TIA!

SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.

I have two offers that I cannot decide which one to take. 1. 30mil PE backed SAAS company. Going to work directly with CFO. On the pathway to Controller in 2 years. Felt connected with CFO during the interviews, and he has a good solid plan for the team and myself. 2. F200 company. Entry level manager in technical accounting. Very structured organization like any other F500 companies. Felt connected with the team throughout the interviews. Comps are about the same.
