How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? My research gives me a mixed review: some say it's good, some say that thoughtworks is not stable enough like big 4 or other organisations. Pls help Thoughtworks Deloitte
Hi guys,
What is the policy in your firm related to working hours during Ramadan?
As per the UAE government, private sector working hour must reduce by 2 hours. Does your firm/project comply with this and if not, isn’t that a violation?

I have no idea what it is like to work in NYC. But when we have to call clients or other accountants in NYC, y’all sound mad as if you're overworked or hungry.

It’s very office specific.
Yes... smaller offices. More steady work all year. I’ve worked maybe 3 weeks over 60 hours
I think nyc in general (not PA specific) has a culture that glorifies working like crazy so it’s ingrained in expectations from everyone including clients and co-advisors. I’m in the LA office and certainly don’t work as much as my nyc counterparts in the same group. But I get paid less so at the end of the day you’re compensated for it 🤷🏻♀️
Golden handcuffs they call it.
I'm in NYC and have yet to work 55 hours a single time :/
How is that possible? Are you a part-time employee?

It really varies by office/team/engagement. Some teams in smaller offices are constantly swamped because their offices/markets don’t have enough resources.
