Is it unethical to use an agency proprietary tool (or an industry standard tool that you have access to through your agency) for an interview assignment for a new job?

It might be against your firm policies, but I'd consider it a perk of working there.

I would say this is like the difference between a "lie" and a "white lie." It isn't strictly ethical to use your company issued computer and software to help you land a new job, but everyone does it and no one is going to 'come after you' about it.

I've just recently been hired as an assistant manager at a Canadian outlet store. It's a small company in comparison to others, but there are over 10 locations spanning western Canada and NW united states. I'm curious as to what others in a similar position are getting as salary. I was offered $42k plus bonuses at the interview, but when called back I was offered $44.5k plus bonuses. I already accepted. Did I leave money on the table here?
