I’m looking for a remote (open to a hybrid) paralegal role in the DMV/NYC/NJ area. I’ve 5 years experience, and currently working as an appellate paralegal in the family law arena, but have experience in bankruptcy, civil rights litigation, etc. I also have trial and appellate experience. Please comment below if you are or you know someone who’s looking for a paralegal. Thank you in advance!
Don't take stress. Its a life changing decision for both of you. Just go with the flow. If you are well settled in your job here, you will find a job easily in uk too. Start your job hunt from now itself. Apply from LinkedIn and mention that you have a dependent visa. You might get priority as well.
Mentor
Thanks for your motivation.
I think it's more of a personal question then professional question. I assume if you are going on dependent visa, it means your partner is on uk skilled worker visa. Do you want to stay back here considering professional life and staying apart, or you want to stay with your partner. I believe once you get the answer of this it will be little easy to make the right decision.
Unpredictability is the beauty of life. You guys will be fine.
Just be mindful that economic situation in UK is not that good.
If your partner is getting enough salary to manage all the family expenses then go ahead.
If you can get a job that will be added bonus.
But surely you are going to miss India after sometime.🙂
Stability is not guaranteed. Lay offs are happening over there as well.
My intention is not scare/confuse you but to empower you with more facts and knowledge before you go through this transition.
Again - if your partner is getting enough salary to manage expenses for your family then take the chance.
