As a product lead you get some really good relationships with workday provided your field readiness architects are good to work with. You also get a lot of insight of where the product is heading and a first look at new features. I also feel like I have a say in where the product is heading. Well worth it IMO
I second this. You get visibility with Workday and other higher level managers. You also get to bring up your client questions at product lead meetings where there are other experts to help solve the problems. I'm a product lead for Prism and Reporting and I absolutely recommend it.
At a manager level ? Not worth it
Both in PwC, KPMG and Deloitte , product leads get direct ticket to altitude (most of the times)
And you are official poc for the product questions in practice
As I said
Makes lot of sense at senior consultant level and if the path forward for you is a lead or specialist
Managers in big4 (Deloitte , PwC or KPMG) are expected to manage teams projects and sell ...
I would personally let it go and let senior consultants enjoy the face time ...
Let everyone shine 🤩
Curious
Do you actually have to post the number of posts on commmunity?
100 rep is generally the minimum but it easy to get that responding to customer Q&A
How many hours of work would you say people currently put into this ?!
Honestly maybe like 10 hours a month, it isn’t a huge commitment. If you know your stuff though and can contribute it is definitely rewarding and worth it.
