Is it worth leaving your current job at a small firm for an internship at Big 4 based on the fact that you would potentially get a full time offer?

Usually internships lead to full time offers 95% of the time at Big 4. I would first consider 1. How much savings you have in case you don’t get the job 2. If the firm can accelerate start date since most interns are college students and don’t start full time after 1-2 years later and 3. Do you know what you’re getting yourself into? Big Four is different than smaller firm, which usually is more stress, bigger teams, and sometimes lower pay at staff levels. You need the right mentality before making the jump

Would the full time offer be immediately after the internship? Large firms often give offers a year or more out, so if that's the case, what would you do I'm the meantime. And did you already apply for full time and they offered the internship instead?

I interned from Feb to April at Deloitte, got unofficial offer my last week and official offer a month after

So yeah you’ll know right away whether or not you’ll be receiving a full time offer, haven’t seen anyone not get an offer

Hi! I’ve been a voluntary benefits agent with a few different carriers for 5 1/2 years. I’m currently the AE for 75+ accounts. I am completely burnt out on prospecting for new groups and wish to transition into a career without sales quotas. Could be in insurance or another industry. My favorite part of my role now is educating/counseling people on benefit options. I’m wondering if there are others who’ve been in the same boat. Open to any suggestions!

Got an offer to work at a boutique PE fund as an intern for the next few months. The role is however unpaid and the fund is new.

For some background, I’m going to be starting at a T-2 firm doing CDD for PE funds in January. Wondering if getting this kind of experience looks good when I apply to analyst roles 1-2 years out? Don’t want to work without getting paid unless the experience is valuable. Would love any perspective on this.
