Is it worth going for something that I am not crazy about but it is available now? Or should I stick around for another 6-month to see if more opportunities come up (although I am miserable as well)?

Thanks guys. I am not in audit so busy season stuff isn't an issue. But if I jump from a big firm to a small firm, I am afraid it may limit my opportunities in the long run. I like working in small company, but I notice that potential employers tend to prefer people from large organizations. Thanks.

Thank you for your advice. I tried to talk to the engagement team manager, and it did not go as I planned. They let go a few people in my team and gave all their work to me. At least, I should be thankful that they kept me? Anyway, I can't trust them any more. So that's why I plan to leave asap. I will keep applying. Thanks again.

Is it a good opportunity? If so, I would take it. If you find you don't like it, you can always look for new roles in 6-12 months from now. If you're dreading busy season that much, then I would probably suggest you get out before you deal with it. You only have 1 life to live, and your health and well-being should be a top priority.

Is it too late to leave

Project management was never something I was interested in. I went to school for marketing and spent 4 years in a operations management role. I’ve spent 6 months in my current role and have recently considered a career in project management.

My question is - is there good money in it? Work culture and satisfaction are important yes but I have a family and goals and money is definitely a motivator. Is project management a good route?

Hey! I work in tech (4YOE) and I switched to consulting (will be joining in Sep). Background for the question: I have a bonus system with my current employer that consists of 6-12% of my base depending on performance (I always got the maximum 12%).

Question: do you think I can convince my current employer to pay me a prorated bonus since I will be leaving after working 7 months this year? They already told me (informally) that they do not do this. What arguments would you use?

Random, but valid/persistent thought.

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

How can I get over this feeling? I'm over the whole "stand in the line of fire to prove how good I am" bs. Any recommendations for getting over this or possible industries to pivot into to avoid bs interview processes and ghosting?

Does your resume bullet points matter at all if you just have public accounting experience. Like if you say you are tax in Big 4 and you do Federal does anything else really matter to employers?

I want to do FP&A. I’m a senior II and recruiters have told me it’s tough to get into with only Big4 experience. Is this true? Do you suggest doing more of a senior acct role then internal transfer?

Capital One vs Jp morgan?

Have offer from both. Cap1 is Tech Audit and JP morgan is Tech audit & control. Both paying same comp. Cap1 as senior associate and jpmc as only associate. JPMorgan Chase Capital One

I am having a hard time finding a permanent remote role. Most companies will show remote on LinkedIn but during conversation will say it’s temporary.
