Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Would you accept a job offer with no 401k match?
It’s time for me to move on from my back office/CBS job at EY. I’ve been able to get through to recruiter and hiring manager screening round with FAANG employers and some tech companies but never beyond that. How can I differentiate myself when I’m probably also up against our client facing colleagues in consulting. I have about 12 years experience (7 at EY doing the same thing).

I would like to hear more on this as well. I'm using the cases on the BCG site to practice but don't know if real undergrad level cases are like them or not.
General associate role - no specific industry
BCG1 - do you know how much simpler the associate cases are than the consultant cases at BCG? I’m hoping that all the cases I’m looking at online are meant for post MBA and that the cases I’m actually going to see are going to be much more straight forward.
What role/practice within BCG are you interviewing for, OP?
If you don't mind me asking OP, which office?
DC - what about you PwC1?
PwC1 we could practice cases together over the phone if you wanted
NY office; that's a great idea unfortunately I'm currently in CA for a client and most likely won't be able to sync up with you during the week. My interview is this Friday so I'll update you on how it went.
Good luck - mines next Friday so that would be really helpful if you could let me know how it goes
My God, my grammar has been terrible in this thread....I'll be sure to update you.
PwC1 - how was the interview?
Very difficult, study up the core frameworks more + your math and most importantly, get a good night's rest. I don't think I passed and I'm waiting for the verdict to drop.
Was it a profit framework and a business situation framework?
Growth and cost reduction cases for me.
Were they more difficult than the 2 practice cases in the pamphlet they gave us?
Pamphlet? They are harder than the cases on the website; honestly, I was caught off guard by therm because I was not expecting that level of difficulty for an Associate position.
I hadn't studied the cost reduction too much so I had a fair bit of trouble on it and had to take some help.
They sent me a booklet that had 2 cases in it that were different than the website but they were similar difficulty
